Autre titre : L'agriculture familiale : durabilité et intégration régionale au Brésil
Résumé : One of the principal questions put forth in research and development work aiming at the strengthening of farming families has to do with the feasibility and tenability of these production systems in the context of regional economic integration and globalisation. The decision-makers, at a local level, want to know if it is worthwhile investing in support of family agriculture and in what way could results be guaranteed. This chapter does not intend to analyse the evolution of Brazilian public policies on the matter of family farming, but deals with the terms of debate on the sustainability of family farming and globalisation of markets from some concrete examples, pointing to new challenges
