Autre titre : Résultats et orientation de projets CEE sur la résistance du riz à la pyriculariose
Abstract : E. C. founded two projects ·on blast with CIRAD-IRAT laboratory of plant pathology as project leader. The first one was carried out from 1985 to 1987. CIRAD-IRAT has got a collection of 365 strains of Pyricularia oryzae from origins. This collectlon was used to study: isozym patterns, mating virulence, tenuazonic acid production, heridity of virulence and host specifity. The analysis of rice varieties resistance was also conducted. A new four years project had just started on January 1st 1989 and will bring together four laboratories, each of them have different research approaches. - Orsay Univ./CNRS laboratory or cryptogamy is lnvolved in molecular blology of Magnaporthe grisea. - CIRAD-IRAT laboratory of plant pathology contlnue research on genetic pathogenicity and plant resistance analysis. - CNPAF in Brazil and IDESSA in the Ivory Coast are doing a recurent breeding programm for rice resistance to blast.
