Abstract : A study was made on 13 Bulgarian rice cultivars and promising lines based on 33 parameters (according to the requirements of the International project Rice Genetic Resources - Eastern Europe) with a view to their identification as a national genetic resource. The specific characteristics of each genotype were described in comparison with the standard cultivar. Their complex evaluation was made and the future lines of their use were discussed.
