Résumé : Anther somatic plants were produced through embryo-genesis by in vitro culture with the anther as the explants, and their developmental stages were rejuvenated from mature type. These plants obtained through micro propagating in vitro with the young anther somatic plants as the explants showed juvenile characteristics and they shared uniform genetic information when they were obtained from the same donor and were self-rooted. Field trials of the self-rooting juvenile clones and their donor clones (control) were arranged. Results showed that the average stem girth of the self-rooting juvenile clones at 50 cm above ground was 109.1%-135.2% of that of the donor clones. The self-rooting juvenile clones produced an average dry rubber yield per tree per year 129.9%-146.3% more than the donor clone in the first 4 years. There are significant statistical differences in girth growth and yield between the self-rooting juvenile clones and the donor clones. This result indicates that the selfrooting juvenile clones of Hevea brasiliensis are an optimum planting material with rapid growth and high yield characteristics.
