Résumé : The international papaya market seems to have a fine future. Work on fruit varieties and post-harvest operations has increased the lifetime of this reputedly delicate fruit. Harvesting at practically ripe stage and optimum sea transport conditions have re-launched operators' appetite for papaya. Nevertheless, education for consumers is essential.
