Abstract : Big dipper enthusiasts had a marvellous time in 2010. With no let up in momentum, prices soared and swooped throughout the year. In the end the average price was the same as in preceding years. But this was no comfort for operators whose production costs had increased. Bananas were saved by capricious weather once again.
