Abstract : We present briefly a general mathematical model that simulates tree development and growth based on a flexible time scale. Two sub-models are coupled with each other: one simulates tree organogenesis in each year, another computes the biomass production and allocation into individual organs. Each year is divided into discrete time steps, namely Computational Unit (CU). An example is given to show the difference between the year-based and CU-based model. (Résumé d'auteur)
