Abstract : L'influence des modifications physiologiques de la plante en relation avec les facteurs environnementaux dans les relations plantes-insectes ont été abordés durant ce colloque. Il s'avère que les réactions des plantes aux ravageurs relèvent de processus complexes et souvent communs à de nombreuses espèces végétales et que ces réactions sont influençables par divers facteurs de l'environnement. Ces connaissances apporteront des alternatives de lutte ou de protection intégrée et aideront à préparer les équilibres biologiques futurs.

Résumé (autre langue) : At the time when chemical use was increasing, the study of insect-pesticide relations was widely favoured. As this contrOL method tails off, the scientific community is paying renewed attention tO the fundamental relation "insect-plant". We pass thus from an ancient empirical practice to a rational analysis of the physiological mechanisms involved in the perception of hast plants by insects and the response of hast plant to attack. In order to favour exchanges between national researchers, the working group "plant-insect relations" met for the fifth time, in Montpellier. This year, the chosen theme concerned the influence on plant-insect relations of the physiological changes of the plant in relation to environnemental factors. Although this is not a new theme, it remains topical. This document does not try to answer the questions we ask ourselves on the subject, but attempts to contribute a few thoughts. It is noted that the reactions of plants ta pests involve clompex processes often common to many plant species, and that these reactions can be influenced by various environnemental factors. Not only will this knowledge offer alternatives in matters of integrated control and production (new green revolution on rice in Asia), but it will help us to better prepare the biological equilibria of the next century.
