Résumé : The approach presented in this paper is based on the representation of farmers' and consumers' decision making process. It is clear that this only deals with part of the problem. Some of the most benefical aspects of IPM (like people empowerment) can only be qualitatively assessed and require a lot of skill to measure them and when possible they are incorpoted in the framework proposed. The paper is organised as follows: in the first part a brief description of themodel is presented, in the second part the possibility of including IPM is discussed and in the final part examples of the type results taht can be obtained are shown
