Résumé : Les auteurs décrivent la variété Nain Vert de Sri Lanka présente dans la collection de cocotiers de la Station de recherche Marc-Delorme à Port-Bouët (Côte d'Ivoire). Comme pour les articles précédents, sont analysés les caractères végétatifs, la biologie florale, la production et la composition du fruit. Cette variété se caractérise par une faible croissance en hauteur, une bonne précocité, un grand nombre de fruits et des teneurs élevées en matière sèche et huile de l'albumen qui peuvent intéresser le sélectionneur, mais également par un nombre de régimes et un coprah/noix relativement faibles. Un complément d'information sur la germination, la croissance et le développement en pépinière, la forme et la composition du fruit de 4 Nains, déjà décrits en 1977 (Nain Jaune Malaisie, Nain Rouge Malaisie, Nain Rouge Cameroun, Nain Vert de Guinée Equatoriale) est donné dans la seconde partie de l'article

Résumé (autre langue) : The authors describe the Sri Lanka Green Dwarf variety in the coconut collection of the Marc Delorme Research Station at PortBouèt (Ivory Coast). As in the preceeding articles, vegetative characteristics, floral biology, yield and fruit composition are analyzed. This variety is characterized by slight vertical growth, good precocity, a large number of fruit, and high dry matter and oil contents in the albumen, all of which may be of interest ta plant breeders, but also by a relatively small number of bunches and a low copra/nut. Additional information on germination, development in the nursery, fruit shape and composition of four Dwarfs already described in 1977 (Malayan Yellow Dwarf, Malayan Red Dwarf, Cameroon Red Dwarf and Equatorial Guinea Green Dwarf) is provided in the second part of the article.
