Résumé : A prerequisite to study pathogenicity of isolates or host susceptibility to Citrus leaf and fruit spot disease incited by #P. angolensis# is to master experimental inoculation. This will enable screening of seedlings directly from nursery. An inoculation technique was experimented where drops of conidia suspensions were deposited on young leaves. Using this technique, 10 isolates from various origins were inoculated on young seedlings of pomelo Thompson. This very susceptible variety exhibited typical symptoms of the disease as well as the syndrome from first stage of lesions to leaf abscission. All inoculated plants showed symptoms after 15 to 24 days. The inoculation technique seems effective, simple and rapid. Analysis of data recorded (incubation period, number of lesions per leaf, size of lesions) suggests that the variability of pathogenicity among different isolates may hardly be assessed on a highly susceptible cultivar. For this purpose, a partially resistant variety may be suitable.
