Résumé : The project's livestock component would include inter alia further rationalisation and reforms of animal health institutions. The development of animal health services in the country is to be achieved through (a) strengthening of the Government capacity to carry out its core functions, i.e. strategic disease control, quality control, epidemiology and planning, and (b) setting up of a conducive environment for veterinary privatisation and deployment of community based livestock workers. Documents constitute the first stage of this project. The present note redraws briefly general context of the livestock, expose the general conditions for the privatisation of veterinary services, then proposes the questionnaires of enquiries with the various actors.
