Résumé : Rice is one of the most important crop in Italy. Severe yield losses can occur in the fields due to many diseases, the most important of which are fungi. A survey was carried out to screen all the species present on rice. Four locations (Castello d'Agogna, Mortara, Giussago, S. Pietro Mosezzo) and four varieties (Ariete, Balilla, Lido, Thaibonnet) were considered. The survey was conducted throughout the season with monthly samplings (in June, July, August and September). Sampled plants were divided into leaf, stem, root, neck and panicle and plated on agar-water medium in four replicated Petri dishes. For each sample the average abundance score, on a 1 to 10 scale, was recorded. A total of 113 taxa were identified with large abundance differences. The presence of Cladosporium spp., Alternaria spp., Fusarium spp., Epicoccum nigrum, Nigrospora oryzae, Phoma spp., Acremonium spp., Bipolaris spp. was always relevant. Among rice pathogens we also found Gibberella fujikuroi, Pyricularia grisea, Sclerotium oryzae and Gaeumannomyces graminis. Many species were not ubiquitous, showing specificity to period of the season, part of plant, variety and location. We found two species never observed on rice in Italy: Stachybotrys bisbyi, Echinopodospora sacchari.
