Résumé : Studies on morphological characteristics of Plutella xylostella (L.) populations gathered from five different locations in India revealed that all the five populations are clearly distinct from each other. Multiple discriminant analyses using stepwise selection through chi-square value was highly significant indicting the fact that, based on overall nine characters, the populations could differ in their micro-morphological features. From the micromorphological variations, the five populations may be assigned as separate groups as there were comparative variations existing among the five populations under study.
