Vales Michel. 2004. "ARHY" [Aerobic Rice Hybrid] Project CIRAD-YAAS, International Carrefour Foundation, Yunnan - Hainan (P.R. China), September 22 - October 3, 2004. s.l. : s.n., 20 p.
Résumé : This report recalls the author's previous contacts, since 1996, that drove to his obtaining of financing of a project on aerobic rice (Oryza sativa) hybrid (ARHY) by the International Carrefour Foundation. This recall drives to discuss about the perceptible evolution of the CIRAD-YAAS (Yunnan Academy of Agriculture Sciences) collaboration: from upland rice for hillsides with cold tolerance (RHICO), then the conversion of rice irrigated perimeters to upland cropping system, to arrive to the ARHY. It is explained why and how CIRAD agronomic research on cropping systems, must become a major part of the future developments of the ARHY project. The field visits report is on the follow-up of the ARHY project execution. It also gives pretext to an analysis of the YAAS rice selection methods. The first YAAS technical report of the ARHY project is annexed in this document. This M. Vales trip report must be completed by the report of J. Taillebois. His report gives the selection schemas drawn by J. Taillebois attended by M. Vales, notably for recurrent selection and rice blast disease (Magnaporthe grisea). These schemas integrate the suggestions of the Chinese homologous researchers.
