Résumé : Somatic embryos and shoots were obtained from cotyledon derived cultures of Hevea brasiliensis. Embryogenic callus were induced from cotyledon sections on improved MS medium with 2 mg/L 2,4-D and 0.5 mg/L GA . Embryo development could be promoted on MS medium containing 4.0~6.0 mg/L KT +0.2 m3g/L IAA or 1.0 mg/L ZT +0.5 mg/L GA +0.2 mg/L NAA. Each of the most explants could develop 3-5 mature embryos, the highest oie had induced 25 mature embryos. 15.57 percent of mature embryos developed into normal plantlets. This regeneration system may be useful for creating rubber rootstock clones. Its polyembryo character will be beneficial to improve somatic embryo induction frequency ìn Hevea brasiliensis, which is one of the main obstacles in rubber tissue culture.
