Résumé : Monitoring crop agro-biodiversity is essential to measure impacts of climate change on agriculture, not only as a source of traits but also as the foundations of resilient farm ecosystems. Many computer systems were developed in the world, at the national level as well as the international one, to preserve collected data and its dynamics. For ARCAD, the question raised is to identify the computer system enabling the gathering and the mediation of the actual collected data set and the ones that will be collected in the future. In this presentation, we propose to apprehend this question using the knowledge management point of view. A review of several solutions is presented to manage data and information. Regarding knowledge, two solutions among others are presented: the semantic network method to manage cereal stem borers (applied to a lowland in Benin) and the mediation methodology developed by the NETSEED project (Seed Exchange Network) to mediate eleven heterogeneous datasets. The conclusion of this presentation is that the identification of the computer system has to be made according to the data, information, and Knowledge targeted by ARCAD, and not the opposite.
