Résumé : Mycena citricolor, causal agent of the American Leaf Spot Disease (ALSD) is reported to be favored by cool and humid conditions and by excessive shade. However, there is little knowledge of shade effects in different environments. This study aims to prove that the effect of shade on ALSD severity depends on environmental and site-specific conditions and to predict these relations spatially. In two mayor coffee growing regions of Guatemala and Honduras, disease risk including shading was mapped at two different scales using CaNaSTA, a Bayesian statistics decision support tool that combines field survey data, expert knowledge and spatial climate data. Results indicate an interaction between shading and environmental factors, influencing disease intensity according to site specific conditions.
