Résumé : The increasing demand for natural rubber calls for improved productivity and extension of rubber growing areas to non-traditional in most rubber growing countries. Biotechnologies play a role in breeding and also in understanding the various plant biological processes involved in plant development and defence against biotic and abiotic stresses. Research advances reported in 2010 confirm this trend.
