Résumé : One of the objectives of this study is to eliminate constraints imposed by the use of primitive methods in production by applying available technologies innovated. This will thus intensify and improve the production of yam, thereby making it a more profitable venture. The production survey was carried out in three major yam producing and processing areas of chips in Nigeria. These are Oyo (north), Kwara and Benue (Zaki Biam) states.
