Résumé : Five years after it was opened, the only problems found anywhere in the laboratory are minor. This is remarkable for a laboratory in a tropical zone and is worth mentioning. In the material produced at Bangun Bandar, there are a few rare cases of floral morphogenesis disturbance. These phenomena are not frequent, and are considered as "slight abnormalities". The existence in several cases of normal fruiting on bunches with abnormalities shows that the phenomenon has several degrees of severity and suggest a physiological disorder, hence eliminating the mutation hypothesis. In addition, results obtained at Bangun Bandar do not lead to any conclusions on the effect of culture period length on abnormality frequency (however, neither do they mean that this hypothesis can be ruled out). Further results will be necessary before drawing any conclusions.
