Résumé : The following paper is A pre-feasibility study which has not to be considered as a strict recommendation. Indeed, a considerable amount of informations and details was not available during the writing of the paper, and the authors were not asked to produce a complete study (which could, indeed, only be done by a multidisciplinary team). However, this paper gives the extension project philosophy and the approximate costs. More accurate information could have been given if figures and data had been available from SRDP or other organizations; for instance, the cost price of one planted hectare, labour output norms, material costs, and also topographical maps of the project location. Nevertheless, we hope this paper will be used as a guide-line for the feasibility study which must be undertaken before starting the Sembawa extension project.
