Titre espagnol : Relacion entre la estructura anatoomica de las ramas menores y la resistencia del arbol del cacao a los miridios
Résumé : In the study of the cacao tree's varietal resistance to mirids, microtests in the laboratory combined with observations in the field have revealed the existence of 2 different "behavioural groups" among the cultivars of sclected cacao in the Ivory Coast. A phenological and anatomical study of cacao branches bas been carried out on sensitive and tolerant clones with a view to establishing a connection between their anatomical structure and their behaviour in relation to the bugs, under field conditions. The role of the various cellular layers as well as the physic.al characteristics of the clones in the way they respond to attacks by mirids are discussed in this paper.
