Résumé : To satisfy the increasing demand in vegetables, the farmers of coastal areas of Grand-Popo in Benin decide to increase the yield by supplying important quantities of poultry waste manure, 20 to 50 t/ha (Atidegla, 2006). As this way of intensification leads to sanitary risk of severe environment and vegetables contamination by fecal germs (Midmore and Jansen, 2003), we have performed a market gardening trial in 2009 in order to test this hypothesis.
