Résumé : Syndromic surveillance has not been widely implemented for animal disease surveillance in developing countries. It could allow cost-effective surveillance systems in resource scarce regions. A pilot syndromic surveillance was implemented with other concurrent surveillance protocols in Northern Vietnam to assess its feasibility for the detection of swine respiratory diseases, and particularly influenza.
