Résumé : The pandemic period has been of great benefit to the international banana market. The banana is a highly competitive, practical fruit with an excellent nutritional profile and protected by a thick skin; these are some of the factors of its success. Unfortunately, the fruit's popularity among consumers has not stopped the price decline in the sector in recent years. The annual contract negotiations for 2021 between suppliers and distributors will not change this trend, as they are once again pointing downwards.
