Résumé : The banana sector seems to be facing the seven plagues of Egypt: logistical disruptions due to the direct and indirect effects of the pandemic, rising production factors, a downward trend in the price of imports into Europe, all kinds of injunctions from retailers, stricter phytosanitary regulations, heightened awareness of environmental and social issues and, finally, invasive diseases. In the end, what is thought to be a transition is in fact a revolution.
