Résumé : Closely linked commercially to the former Soviet bloc, Cuban citrus growing was sorely tried by the fall of the Iron Curtain. With limited investment capacity and little prepared to face an extremely fussy and competitive international citrus market, the sector experienced a particularly difficult five years from 1990 to 1995. The setting up of a renovation plan based on the development of a processing industry has made it possible to re-launch activities.
