Résumé : As with temperate wood, the Chinese economic situation has been decisive for the tropical wood market, whose prices are generally expected to fall in 2022. But the central issue remains that of the standards adapted by several importing countries, and particularly by the European Union. The preservation of 'natural' forests is a laudable objective, but are consumer countries prepared to pay the real price?
