Résumé : This presentation recalls the prerequisites and mandates of the ITMF-ICCTMStickiness working group. It also presents the major results that have been gained since 2006 when I was elected as chairperson. 12 inter-laboratories round tests (RT) have been conducted so far, each with 3 to 5 cottons and up to 12 Stickiness Measuring Methods (SMM). All candidate cottons to these RTs have been characterized for their spinnability both in term of productivity and of quality in microspinning RS 20 tex (see presentation in the International Cotton Conference Bremen lectures). Altogether, this allowed a preselection of SMM to now start harmonizing reading results on the long-run. Cirad-LTC is now closed (Dec. 2023). • RT organization and production of potential reference materials has been transferred to FIBRE and BBB, Germany.
